Pregnancy is Weird

DREAMS

There are sooooooo many symptoms/side-effects other than dreams that fit in this category, and maybe some day I will expand upon this, but seeing as it is 6:00 am, and I've been up and ready for work for HOURS already,  I will share the most relevant one today.

I jumped out of bed this morning, just barely missing crushing Scout (who has taken to positioning his blanket along the entire length of my side of the bed) and yelled at Nick about not shutting the bedroom door in probably the most irritated voice imaginable. Poor guy. He had no idea why he was jolted awake like that! (The bedroom door was shut and latched, btw)

In my defense, I had the most vivid dream that I was already awake and had made my way down to the kitchen for breakfast only to find it TRASHED - I don't mean a little garbage pulled out of the wastebasket. I mean shoes ripped to shreds, cupboards emptied, holes in walls, like a demo team had come through. I guess I was feeling a little guilty that the pups were in their crates so long yesterday while I was at dress rehearsals. My subconscious apparently invented a retaliation story.

Thankfully it was only a moment later that I realized that I had woken up every other being in the house from a calm, peaceful, not-destroying-things-out-of-spite sleep. They all fell back asleep immediately. I took my racing heart downstairs because, of course, I was starving.

Pregnancy is weird.

Announcing...

I've been very quiet on this blog for the past several months. It's been a good winter for hibernating, snuggling, and getting ready to expand our wolf pack, with this little character.

He/She started out our photo shoot super shy - feet, and arms all up blocking a good view of the face. With a little poking and prodding, the munchkin finally started cooperating, and making some silly faces for the "camera."

We're getting closer and closer to welcoming this little wolf into the world. Now that the weather is getting nice, we are finally getting motivated to make some much needed updates to our cozy little cape.

Stay tuned for updates on house renovations and nursery prep.
