Happy Easter!

This year we did Easter in Eden.  Louie woke up early (which actually worked out perfectly for our plans) and we opened Easter baskets with the spring morning sun beaming on us.

A new sippy cup

and more Duplos!

Once I told him that this one was a water toy, he wanted to get right in the bath and try it out.

Louie helped me make "nest cookies" to bring to Grandma Dodie's later.
And by "help", I mean he ate a bunch of malted eggs and got a sugar rush.
Happy Easter, kiddo!!!

Louie loves to put on his own suspenders.

After a good nap, we took a trip to Eden for family dinner at Grandma Dodie and Grandpa Dude's house.

Grandma Dodie made a beautiful centerpiece.

Ginger decorated eggs for all of us.

After dinner, we went for a walk around Grandma's gardens. I commented on how beautiful their forsythia bushes were, and the next thing I knew, Grandpa Dude had a little one all dug up for us to take home!

Grandma has a big stone lion.  Louie wasn't quite sure what to think of it at first...

... but he warmed up to it pretty quickly.

Louie decided that since the lion was stone, that it must eat rocks.

Happy Easter!
